Jay and I spent another weekend on the Olympic Peninsula! We were lucky enough to be able to go and help out a
WWU grad student with his anemone research. This was, technically, work for Jay and "volunteer" time for me - but it was really play. It rained a lot, so I don't have pics of the anemones or us funny looking folks out in the intertidal zone. When we finished our work on Saturday, we headed out to Cape Flattery - the most northwest point in the 48 states. It was a wild, weather-beaten, stormy, and beautiful place. A real treat to see!
A few weeks back we also were treated to a visit from Allison and Brian, friends of ours living in NY. They were visiting her sister (who lives near Seattle) but came up to see me for the day. What a day - clear blue skies, baldies, and good beer at the local brewpub!
