Olympic National Park

Well we have sure been busy these last two weeks. Last weekend we decided to pamper ourselves and stay in a dirt cheap hotel and sit in hot springs on the Olympic Peninsula. But the weather was so gorgeous that we had to drive up to the top of Hurricane Ridge - where there was still a ton of snow. We kicked ourselves for not bringing along the cross-country skis! In a stark contrast to the snowy Olympic Peninsula - we have spring arriving in Anacortes! Our laundry is hanging out to dry and the fruit trees (yum) in our backyard are in full bloom. The daffodils are already spent in Skagit Valley and the tulips are out in full force. We will head over the the tulip fields any day but Easter Sunday, so expect so shockingly colorful photos soon.

I've started teaching the spring quarter and Jay is still plugging away with his anemones. But the weather is gorgeous and I'm going to ignore the work I should be doing for a few more hours and play outside with my man. Hiking somewhere probably!
