Well - we will be leaving this wonderful country in less than 12 hours. Can you believe it? We have done tons of laundry at Heather and David's house and feel clean =) and ready to go! Except we still have a million things to do (taxes are a pain in the arse to say the least).... what a treat it has been to stay with our friends again in Auckland while we pull everything together for our next travelling journey. Little Cat even helped Jay with his taxes this morning by sitting on all the paperwork and purring at him.
We don't have too much else to say - this has been a great five months. We met and got to know many Kiwis and we will miss our new friends very much. The entire trip was awesome - but I think it is safe to say that we had our highlights. For me it was watching the most beautiful bird in the world - the albatross - fly behind the ferry in the sunset while we steamed back from Stewart Island to the South Island. For Jay, I don't even need to ask him, it was diving the Poor Knights Islands and trout fishing on the Greenstone River.
We hoped you enjoyed this part of our trip too - so hang on for the next bit because SE Asia is going to be wild, beautiful and awesome. We can't wait.
